6 steps to meditation easily!

 

Most of the successful CEO’s I’ve met practise 10 to 15 minutes of daily meditation and it’s given them the mental and emotional composure to deal with enormous stress and anxiety and to make tough decisions in uncertain times.

So first of all, what is meditation? Meditation is about creating peace in your life by centring yourself back to the present moment. You see; fear, pain and unhappiness can only live in one of two places, either the future or the past. If we live in the future, we are likely to feel nervous and anxious for what may come. If we live in the past, we are likely to feel regret and guilt of what could have been. But in the present moment these emotions don’t exist and meditation is about bringing yourself to the present moment so you can stabilize your emotional state.

The benefits are simple:

  • Helps you sleep better
  • Reduced anxiety
  • Reduced stress
  • Less over thinking

Here are 6 steps to getting you to meditate with POWER!

  1. Focus your attention on your breathing
  2. Find a comfortable environment that is peaceful
  3. Sit in an upright posture to ensure alertness
  4. Clasp your hands together to stop from fidgeting
  5. Set an alarm for 15 minutes
  6. Practise with small increments
